The next phase of cannabis legalization is upon us. On October 17th, 2019 Canada celebrated one year since legalization and the beginning of the next chapter of cannabis. Health Canada’s changes in regulations will permit the commercial production and sale, by federally approved licensed producers, of edibles, extracts, and topicals.

The first cannabis 2.0 products have already begun arriving! Visit the menu to learn more.

VAPING

Vaping is a popular alternative to smoking flowers, and uses concentrates which are offered in pre-packaged tanks or cartridges. These are attached to a battery-operated heat source which vaporizes the cannabis oils.  The oils used in legal cannabis vaping tanks are produced by a variety of methods:

  • Distillate with added natural terpenes
  • Distillate with added cannabis terpenes
  • Hydrocarbon-extracted oils such as live resin, which is produced by flash-freezing and then extracting the cannabis plant material
  • Co2 extracted concentrated oil

Health Canada approval is required for vaping products, tanks, cartridges and all other equipment.

Unfortunately the BC Provincial government has imposed a 20% PST on all vaping products commencing January 1st 2020.

EDIBLES

We anticipate offering a wide selection of edibles and beverages, with more products added as they become available. Beverage options to look forward to include: THC-, CBD- and THC:CBD- infused beverages; canned/bottled carbonated beverages: pre- and post-exercise drinks; and teas.

Edibles will be available in multiple forms, including a selection of gummies as well as mints, including dissolvable sheets. There will be a variety of chocolate products, ranging from fair-trade pure cocoa chocolates to candy bar-type chocolate bars. There will also be cookies, brownies and other baked products coming to market.

Health Canada has placed a limit on the THC contents for edibles of 10mg of THC per package/beverage, but there is no limit on CBD-infused products.

CONCENTRATES

(PHO / BHO / Etc) hydrocarbon extraction
(solvent-based extraction)

  • Live resin, Budders, Waxes, Shatter etc.

Solventless extraction

  • Rosin, Sift, Hashes

There are many ways to smoke concentrates. Electric pens are loaded cold then heated with the touch of a button. Glass rigs – more commonly known as bongs – are heated to 200 to 375°C using a torch or electric nail, and the smoke is filtered through a water reservoir. There are also battery-operated water bongs with heating elements and glass bubbler.
