HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN – COVID 19

Original FARM takes the safety of all who enter our stores very seriously. We have established the following rules to keep everyone as safe as we can. In accordance with the newest WorkSafe B.C. guidelines, our Covid 19 Health & Safety Plan has been updated as of May 20, 2020. Our plan includes:

We will limit the number of occupants permitted in each store and will post the maximum number of occupants at each Original FARM location.

We respectfully request all customers who are feeling unwell, who have been in contact with a person who is symptomatic or has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or who have travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days to refrain from visiting our stores.

Staff have been instructed with the same information, as well as to contact a health care professional. They are to follow any and all instructions provided to them.

Signs reminding staff and customers of physical distancing requirements are posted throughout the stores. We ask everyone to be mindful of the space between you and any people near you. Please keep 6 feet apart.

To help our staff maintain physical distancing, we will continue to only operate alternating tills.

All staff must wash their hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds upon arriving at work, before and after returning from breaks, and throughout the day.

Our staff are cleaning all commonly touched surfaces frequently throughout the day.

Our air filtration systems at our Hillside & downtown locations use medical grade filters and our Langford location uses fresh air intake & does not recirculate the air within the building. The plexiglass is cleaned frequently. The debit machine is cleaned between each customer contact.

Gloves are worn while working and are changed frequently.

Original FARM has provided masks for staff to wear in situations where it is difficult to maintain physical distancing.

Staff working the lines and the door will be required to wear a mask while performing this duty. We are cleaning the door handles after customer contact with them.

If we ask to see your ID, please hold it up for viewing. Staff are not permitted to touch your ID. If asked for ID, you will be asked to momentarily lower your mask if you are wearing one. The BC Liquor and Cannabis Board requires this as persons under the age of 19 are not permitted on our premises.

Please avoid moving through doorways at the same time as others.

Items and products will only be passed to customers after the sale is completed.

We are currently only accepting debit or credit payments, no cash.

Staff who are able to work from home, will continue to do so as much as possible.

If you must cough or sneeze, please do so into a tissue, into your arm or the inside of your elbow.

Everyone should avoid touching their face without first cleaning their hands.
